Very nice woman. She works hard to make sure everything is clear. She uses power point slides and a tablet PC to write on them throughout class. Its moderately useful.
She doesn't allow passing but you can let her know before class and she won't call on you.
The one big negative is that she has a bit of trouble controlling class discussion. Many days she let the discussion go on for the entire class period, letting anyone add anything regardless of its relevancy. As the semester progressed she has gotten better about cutting it off, but that may be because we are running out of time.
If you don't mind lots of class discussion about policy, then she's a decent prof.
She is extremely clear with her lectures. And I thought she kept class interesting. I'm very glad I took the course.
And I did not experience the problem with controlling class discussion - perhaps I took her a different semester when people were less chatty or when she had a different approach.
For future reference, she took about 6 weeks to submit grades.
